Humanity is under attack by parasitic organisms that take over the brain, gaining full control of the host body and devouring other humans. One such parasite fails to take full control of its host — a young woman — and the two are forced to coexist, with the parasite only surfacing in moments of mortal danger. As she struggles to cope with this terrifying bond, the rest of the parasites organize and hunt together, feeding on the population. In response, South Korea becomes the first country to form a special task force to fight this unprecedented threat.
