About the film
Second half of the 15th century. A threat looms over the Florentine rulers and Medici patrons: the head of the family is seriously wounded during an assassination attempt, enemies from the Pazzi family are trying to take away power, and an army of Neapolitans is at the city walls. All hope is for young Lorenzo de' Medici: it is he who must save the family's situation, protect Florence from destruction and face a love choice between the noble Clarice Orsini and the beautiful Lucrezia Donati. . This is the time of the passing Middle Ages and the coming Renaissance. Here they fight with swords, besiege cities, weave intrigues, but create masterpieces, love purely and selflessly. However, the beauty of ancient palazzos and the works of Botticelli and Machiavelli will not stop the bloodshed.
