About the film
In 1986, in the rural town of Hwaseong, two local women are brutally murdered in the same twisted manner. Detectives Park Doo-man and Cho Yong-koo try desperately to find the killer — or, rather, to force any suspect to confess using violent and aggressive methods. A more analytical detective, Seo Tae-yoon, arrives from Seoul to assist in the investigation, determined to track down the real murderer using evidence and logic. But as the bodies continue to pile up, the case grows darker and more hopeless.
